Mrs. Nowery
It is my privilege to teach your child. Allow me to introduce myself and to tell you about my educational experience and personal background.
I am married to Mark Nowery, an EMS Captain of Andros Island Fire Rescue. We have been married for 34 years and have 2 children, Megan and Daniel. Megan has her BSN and is currently working on her Nurse Practitioner License. Daniel has completed his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florida. He is currently working for Lockheed Martin in Palmdale, CA. I am blessed to have such a wonderful and supportive family.
I have a diversified background in my educational experience. My Bachelor of Science degree is in Elementary Education, while my certifications are in Middle Grades Math, Exceptional Student Education, and Mathematics/Early Adolescence, (National Board Certification). My experience encompasses teaching in a private Christian School in south Florida, teaching Exceptional students in the VE setting at Romeo Elementary, moving to the Bahamas for 4 years and teaching on the Naval Base on Andros, returning to teach at West Port Middle which became Liberty Middle School. I transferred from Liberty Middle School to Osceola Middle in the fall of 2019.
My greatest fulfillment in teaching is to see growth and inspiration in the life of your child. I treasure the time that I have with him/her and hope to have your support for a successful year at Osceola Middle School! The faculty and staff at Osceola Middle School are wholly committed to the safety and security of your child. Please do not hesitate to email me and I will address your concern or connect you with the person that can be of help. The current information that you will need for 2020-21 will be posted on your child's Microsoft Team Class Account. I will post the "How To's" in the General Channel under the FILES tab. There he/she will find instructions on how to navigate through Microsoft Teams. To get to their Microsoft Teams Account, they have to log into their Student Portal and click on Office 365, then click on Microsoft Teams. The district also posted a navigation video for Microsoft Teams on the Marionschools.net homepage. I'm looking forward to an adventurous year in 2020-21!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nowery
