Hello! My name is Amanda Smith and I am a Second Grade teacher at Maplewood Elementary! This is my third year teaching at Maplewood and I love it here! 

I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a BS in Elementary Education. I also attended Flagler College for Theater Arts and have been a Teaching Artist at The Ocala Civic Theater for 9 years. Theater is a hobby of mine!

My other hobbies include reading and technology. I love my books and my computer! I have a one-year-old son and two dogs named Daisy and Pudgy who I love dearly. 

So, welcome to Second Grade! I know together we can make this a wonderful school year because we are “side by side for success.”
