Ms. Robertson's Third grade
Welcome to Ms. Robertson's 3rd Grade Class Website!
Welcome to third grade! First, be assured we are doing our very best to maintain a sense of normalcy at school. We will do our best to care for your child academically and emotionally. In order to help your child adjust to some of the necessary changes please talk to them about the importance of wearing a face covering and maintain a safe distance. We will do our best to make sure your child feels comfortable with these changes.
Your child will have two third grade teachers this year. Ms. Robertson will be teaching math and science. Mrs. Hoekstra will be teaching language arts and social studies. Your child will remain in the same classroom with only Ms. Robertson and Mrs. Hoekstra switching rooms. Team teaching is a teaching practice that allows us to work together in a way that will help us better meet the needs of ALL our students.
We are very excited to teach your child this year. Third grade is a very busy year, filled with lots of fun and learning. We will be working together to ensure that your child gets all the help and support they need in order to achieve academic success. Both of us believe that every student has different learning styles and needs.
It is very important to us to have constant contact with all our parents. We value parent involvement at every level. To ensure a strong partnership we need to be able to communicate on a regular basis.
If you have any concerns regarding your child we are always available to schedule a conference. Please feel free to call after school at 671-6820.
You can email us at Amanda.Robertson@marion.k12.fl.us and Alysia.Hoekstra@marion.k12.fl.us. You can also write a note letting us know when you would like to meet.
We look forward to working with you this year and teaching your child. It is going to be a great year!
