Mrs. Merritt's Kindergarten Class

  • Hello Parents, 

    I hope every one is well and safe.  During this time of home learning, I will be posting assignments for your child to complete at home.  You can either print copies of the assignments from this website each week, or stop by and pick up a packet of papers put together for your child for the week. Make sure you pick up the packet with your child's name on it. 

    New packets will be available starting on Monday and on the table through Friday on the tble in front of the office at Shady Hill Elementary (8am-2pm). After finishing the papers with a *on them, please take a picture of the paper and send it to my email address (kimberly.merritt@marion.k12.fl.us). This will account for attendance and participation grades.

    Each week, your packet will be available by Monday morning.

  • On-line learning opportunities

    • Students should use I-Ready for reading and math, 30 minutes each week in each area. I will be checking reports to see how they are doing.
    • Students may access iReady, MyOn, and Studies Weekly through their student portal.

     Parents, please check your email for the link to our Zoom meetings on Mondays, Wednesdays , and Fridays at 9:00 am.

     Please have your child have their dry erase board,marker (included in their work packet to be picked up at school) and an eraser (tissue, small sock, wash cloth, etc.) at the meeting.

    *Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms.  If you do not want your child's image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
