    COMMUNICATION

    Parents please check this desktop each Monday @ 8:00am for any additional information such as links, weekly specials, and updates on contact information.  

     

    We will Zoom each Monday and a text invite will be sent out by the Remind app. (not posted on my webpage!)

    The Remind app will be our primary communication for any reminders, or announcements.  Please don’t hesitate to send a Remind text, or a request for a call during office hours. I am here to help my students and you through this time!

    ATTENDANCE

    I am taking attendance every morning at 9:00am. If your child is not working on assignments that day, sick, or will not be present, please let me know and send an excuse to: Rachael.Rouse@marion.k12.fl.us

     

    ASSIGNMENTS

    We will see our assigned work in Google Classroom, on the students desktop, from now on. You will click each assignment for that week in each subject. There will be (assignment) Song categories that will help with memorization of our skills. You may access songs for many weeks. If you see assignments that say EXTRA, it will not be graded, yet it is good additional practice if there is need. On the bottom of this page there are also printable extras if you would like to utilize those materials as well. We will continue using our student desktop’s through this distance learning time.

    HOW TO ACCESS GOOGLE CLASSROOM 

    1.Log in to your child’s desktop. If you don’t see the icon on the first page of your child’s desktop, search in Google Apps at the bottom of the desktop screen. 

    MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT IN YOUR PERSONAL GOOGLE ACCOUNT! YOU MUST LOG IN WITH YOUR STUDENTS EMAIL (first name.last name@marionstudents.net).

    SOME COMPUTERS ARE DEFAULTING TO PARENTS PERSONAL GOOGLE ACCOUNTS!

    2.Click the CRISS' CLASSROOM icon. 

    3.Click the CRISS' CLASS icon 

    1. Your child’s assignments will show on the screen. The files he/she will need for each assignment will be attached at the bottom of each subject section. Each assignment sheet is interactive for your child to type answers on. They will need help with this. Parent help with typing answers is absolutely fine. This allows your child’s work to be saved on the computer so you won’t need to take pictures and text work to me!!! Yay!
    2. Once an assignment is done, click “MARK AS DONE” at the top of the screen so it will save your work for me to grade.

     

    EXPECTATIONS

    I-ready – Work on lessons each day as discussed.

    Assignments - Weekly & due by Friday of each week.

    Reading- 20 minutes each day – Take 3 AR tests weekly   (AR books, Myon, Mr. Lanza reads)
