Welcome Parents

I am so excited to have your student here with me in kindergarten! Our classroom takes an approach to teaching called Developmentally Appropriate Practice or “DAP.” DAP classrooms take a developmental approach to learning and start with identifying where children are in their development. 

Throughout the year, I will assess your child in their cutting skills, easel painting, writing, gross motor, play skills, and patterning abilities as well as traditional academic skills such as reading readiness and number sense.

I want your child to find joy in learning, develop social and emotional learning skills, and have a positive self-image that will benefit them throughout their lifetime.
