Welcome to Science and Logistics
Throughout the year we will take an exciting journey through Science. All sciences are a systematic approach that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe and the natural work around us. Science is also a process of discovery that allows us to link isolated facts into coherent and comprehensive understandings of the natural world.
This one-semester course is intended to familiarize you with the knowledge and skills required for a career in the Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics (TDL) industry. This course covers the evolution of the TDL industry and career opportunities available in the industry. This course also familiarizes you with the principles of warehousing, workplace safety, and skills necessary to be successful in the workplace. Finally, this course familiarizes you with the role of technology and future trends in the TDL industry.
