Welcome Back! 

I am so excited about this upcoming year! We have so much planned and so many exciting changes for our classes that I can not wait to get started! 

I have spent the past thirteen years here at NMHS as the Allied Health Instructor and this is my home. I grew up on the Northside as did my family, both my husband and my two sons graduated from North Marion High School. I truly believe that this school is the heart of our community. 

I look forward to getting to know you and your student this year!! Lets Go Colts!! 

  • My name is Mrs. Christmas and I teach Allied Health III, Health Foundations, Health Science Anatomy Physiology and Medical Skills. I am also the HOSA- Health Occupations Students of America – Future Health Professionals and the Senior Sponsor. I look forward to us being able to learn and grow during this school year!

     

    Next, we are using Microsoft Teams this year for our online platform. This will require you to log into your desktop, click on office 365, and then click on the Teams icon.

    Once you sign into Teams you will see all of the Teams that you are currently registered. From there you will click the Team that coincides with what class you have me for. For example, you will click the icon that says 18 NMH Health Found Christmas Zero Period or M-5th Pd NMH Med Skills Christmas Online.

    After you click on our class team there will be a meeting for you to join as soon as class starts. This will show up in the general under posts. This should be the first thing you see when you click on the team.

    In the general posts, you will see a post that says “Meeting” you will click join in order to join the meeting. The meeting function will be what we use every day to have class

    It is very important that you log on to class at the correct time. MCPS online will require you to attend 6 periods a day on the same schedule as the school. I will attach the schedule here so you can be sure you are on time.

    Please note that attendance and each of our class sessions will be recorded per the MCPS guidelines. Teams is a new platform for all of us, so I will attach a quick starter guide and a video link will be included in this email so that you can look there if you have any questions!
