Welcome back!

I hope you are all doing well and are excited to start making music again! We are starting off the school year with all music classes in traditional format (offered in person at BHS). There have been many national studies done regarding music performance, the use of aerosols, and keeping music in schools safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will be taking the necessary precautions to make sure that the students are able to safely play and sing during class this year. We still plan on doing performances each quarter, whether they can be indoors, outdoors, or livestreamed. Please continue to be flexible as we navigate through this very different school year so the students can still have music as a part of their well-rounded education.

We will be supplementing our traditional instruction with some content and classwork/homework on Microsoft Teams. Students will be added to the Teams automatically, so there is no need for a code. I also send out short reminders and updates to the students through Remind, which parents and guardians are encouraged to join as well.
