In order to achieve academic success, students must be able to read and understand a variety of texts. Our vision is to provide all schools with the necessary resources and support to ensure that all students learn to read fluently and have positive attitudes about themselves as proficient readers and thinkers in all content areas.
Annually, each school district is required to submit a District Comprehensive Evidence-Based Reading Plan (CERP) approved by the applicable district school board or authority. The CERP must accurately depict and detail the role of administration (both district and school level), professional development, assessment, curriculum, and instruction in the improvement of student learning of the B.E.S.T. English Language Arts Standards. View more information HERE at fldoe.org.
