Marion Superintendent Dr. Gullet Reaches National Final Four
Public Voting Open Through Friday
MARION COUNTY – Marion County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Diane Gullett has reached the final four to become Magnet Schools of America (MSA) Superintendent of the Year.
The bracket-style competition kicked off last month during National Magnet School Month and celebrates the achievements of superintendents who champion MSA’s five pillars of magnet schools: diversity, innovative curriculum and professional development, academic excellence, leadership in high-quality instructional systems, and family and community partnerships.
Dr. Gullett already received a $500 cash prize two weeks ago that will help start a new artificial intelligence-based magnet program in Marion County Public Schools. The winning superintendent will receive $2,500 for their district.
Voting for the final four candidates begins April 10 at 1 p.m. and is available at https://widgets.commoninja.com/8dcf2ce3-8a4b-433b-a4a5-4188ac822334?fbclid=IwAR1AQTfzoQAk6tVsu4cWySQEodgUYpygc3XX9iArAAhmwFAQ1kpxM9iyiCc. Voting closes April 12.
All four finalists represent public school districts in Florida and have been invited to attend the National Conference on Magnet Schools in New York City April 16-20.
