What is School Choice Magnet?
- Various pathways for families to select their student's educational journey.
- Theme-based opportunities for student to engage in extensive study in specific areas of curriculum or personal interest.
- Options for students to explore and discover talents and interests in an academically rigorous environment.
- Elementary and Middle School Magnet Programs are lottery-based.
- High School Magnet and Career Academy Program acceptances are merit-based.
School Choice Magnet Annual Timeline
The School Choice Magnet Application window for Magnet Schools and Career Academies is closed for the 2026-2027 school year.
The window will reopen in November 2026 for the 2027-2028 school year.
