School Choice Magnet Application Guide

Transportation is not provided for out-of-area placements, including magnet programs outside of your designated school zone.

Once a school reaches 100% FISH capacity, eligible out-of-area students will be waitlisted. 

The School Choice Application window for Magnet Schools and Career Academies is now  OPEN for the 2026-2027 school year.  The application closes on January 31, 2026.

                              We are transitioning to the SchoolMint application system.                            This platform is NEW from previous years and is different from Skyward Family Access.                            Select the "Apply Now" icon below to access the new platform.

A student number is required to apply for School Choice.

To obtain a student number, follow the directions on the Student Enrollment tab.

  The application window will re-open for the 2026-2027 school year on November 10, 2025.
