MARION COUNTY – The Food and Nutrition Department of Marion County Public Schools is adding yet another school to provide free breakfast and lunch to all students, bringing the total to 56 school sites for the 2023-2024 school year.
This means approximately 45,500 students at all 56 sites can receive free food without question or regard to family income.
This program is provided in partnership with the Community Eligibility Provision initiative and is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture. No application is required to participate.
Schools hosting the free meal program include:
- Belleview-Santos Elementary
- Dr. N.H. Jones Elementary
- Emerald Shores Elementary
- Fessenden Elementary
- Fordham Early Learning Academy
- Hammett Bowen, Jr. Elementary
- Horizon Academy at Marion Oaks
- Marion Charter
- Marion Acceleration Academy
- Marion Technical Institute
- Ocali Charter High School (new)
- Ocali Charter Middle School
- Reddick-Collier Elementary
- Silver River Mentoring and Instruction
- Stanton-Weirsdale Elementary
- Ward-Highlands Elementary
Schools were selected based on the percentage of students from each campus who are participating in one or more variations of public assistance/service programs.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
