Deaf Camps

Camp Endeavor

We are a summer camp program designed and organized to serve the deaf, hard of hearing, their hearing brothers and sister, and hearing children with deaf or hard of hearing family members. The knowledge one needs to understand the beauty of nature and what it has to offer is the core of Outdoor Education which involves nature hikes, primitive bead making, and various crafts, and wildlife identification.

” Deaf Film Camp at Camp Mark Seven is designed for 12-16 year old aspiring filmmakers, regardless of prior experience. For two weeks, campers will eat, drink, and breathe film-making in the fresh Adirondacks air of Old Forge, New York! Each camper will write, produce, direct, and edit her or his own film on digital video! Despite the feverish pace of this two-week program, each camper will experience and chronicle nature at its best with GoPro cameras during a multitude of activities in and around our stunning lakefront!”

National Association of the Deaf Youth Leadership Camp

β€œThe NAD Youth Leadership Camp (YLC) is an intensive four-week summer camp program for deaf and hard of hearing high school students. The camp provides leaders the ability to develop their scholarship, leadership, and citizenship (SLC) qualities in nature environment. Leaders experience self-discovery, learn about self-identity, confidence, and self-esteem and understand many things about themselves. NAD YLC is also an extension of the activities and training offered by the Junior NAD, www.nad.org/jrnad.”
