The primary purpose of the Florida Department of Education State Assessment Program is to measure student achievement of Florida's education standards as required by Florida Statute (Fla. Stat.§ 1008.22 (2024). Assessments support instruction and student learning by measuring academic progress and gains. Additionally, assessments help determine if students are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need for careers and college-level coursework.
