Overview
The ESE Department currently includes 6 School Intervention Therapists.
The mission of the School Intervention Therapist is to supplement and facilitate the learning process of specific coping skills and to eliminate social and emotional barriers to learning encountered by students.
Services Provided
Direct Services to Students
School Intervention Therapists provide individual and/or group, evidence-based, mental health services to Exceptional Student Education students participating in or are at risk for participation within a specialized unit for behavior.
Consultation Services
School Intervention Therapists share their knowledge with classroom staff, other relevant staff, and parents to better support students in their school and community settings.
