
Professional Learning Platform
Marion County Public Schools utilizes Canvas as the Professional Learning Platform. Canvas Catalog streamlines the process of searching and signing up for professional learning opportunities so educators can chart their professional growth. It includes the District Professional Learning Catalog (PLC) which identifies the educational training programs or components of professional learning that may generate inservice points toward recertification or add-on certification.
Additionally, reporting features in Canvas track all professional learning activities offered throughout the district, as well as participant attendance. The data gathered by the Canvas Professional Learning Platform is utilized by the site-based and district administrative teams to consistently analyze the effectiveness and impact of any professional learning activity offered.
