MCPS EXPANDING EVENING MEAL

SERVICE TO ADDITIONAL

AFTER-SCHOOL SITES

 

MARION COUNTY – Marion County Public Schools’ Food and Nutrition Department is expanding its Afterschool Meals Program, part of the Child Care Food Program.

The department added two new sites to the 37 already operating for the new school year. Both Ross Prairie and Winding Oaks Elementary Schools are now part of the service providing nutritious meals to children enrolled in Marion Afterschool Programs.

Meals are offered at no cost to students regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.

This year’s 39 participating sites include:
