FOR LeadershipMCPS EXPERIENCE
MARION COUNTY – Marion County Public Schools is accepting applications for Class IV of its LeadershipMCPS program.
LeadershipMCPS involves eight monthly sessions providing opportunities for community members to learn what it takes to educate over 46,000 students each school day while better understanding the support operations happening behind the scenes of Marion County classrooms.
Sessions will be held at different school facilities each month starting in August covering a wide variety of topics including the concepts of how teachers teach and how students learn, School Choice, creating and supporting a safe and positive learning and working environment, Exceptional Student Education, transporting and feeding tens of thousands of students daily, and how business partners and volunteers help meet critical needs throughout the district.
To apply, scan the QR code in this release or complete the application available at this link by July 25. MCPS employees are not eligible for LeadershipMCPS.
Confirmation of acceptance into Class IV will be made later this summer with the first session set for Aug. 29. A one-time enrollment fee of $150 is required for those accepted and covers expenses including lunch during sessions.
