Ross Prairie Elementary and Winding Oaks Elementary Board Approved Rezoning Information

 

To address growth in the Southwest Marion County area, Marion County Public Schools (MCPS) is constructing two new elementary schools, which are scheduled to open in August 2025.

The Marion County School Board approved the attendance boundaries for Elementary W and X during a public hearing on November 12, 2024.

The approved attendance boundaries of Elementary W and X affect several attendance boundaries. The affected schools are as follows:

Belleview Elementary
Belleview Santos Elementary
Hammett Bowen Jr. Elementary
Legacy Elementary
Marion Oaks Elementary
Saddlewood Elementary
Sunrise Elementary
