ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP)

  • College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) Program provides students opportunities to earn college credits through advanced studies and passing AP exams. Beginning with freshman year, students may choose their path of study and elect to take one or more AP classes. Taking AP courses allows students to stand out to colleges, demonstrating their motivation to succeed and willingness to complete college-level work.

Advanced Placement courses are offered at Dunnellon High, Forest High, Lake Weir High, Vanguard High and West Port High schools, and cover a wide range of core subjects and electives.
