Looking to make a Difference in your community by educating children? Consider the Future Educator Academy at Vanguard High School to help fast track your goal of becoming a teacher! Our Academy introduces future educators to the profession with hands-on experience and a behind the scenes look at what it really takes to be a great teacher. Our students will have many opportunities over the course of the four year academy to get a true taste for the profession that effects so many lives. From class field trips and guest speakers to actual teacher assisting opportunities at Vanguard High School as well as partnering Marion County Elementary Schools, FEA students will have a full spectrum view of what being a teacher is truly all about.
Through articulation agreements with the College of Central Florida, our students have the chance to earn college credit towards an Associates of Science degree as a High School Student.
FEA Academy Students will earn their ParaProfessional Certification while participating in the program!
The ParaPro Assessment is a general aptitude test that is required in many states for paraprofessional certification. It also offers school districts an objective assessment of your foundation of knowledge and skills. This certification will help students take the necessary steps to become a teacher’s assistant within Marion County or other school districts throughout the country.
Our overall goal for the Future Educator Academy is to introduce, develop, direct, and hire home grown educators to return to Marion County Public Schools to help fill the ever-increasing need for quality educators in our local schools.
