Degrees and Certifications:

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Universidad del Sagrado Corazon in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After working as an ESOL Paraprofessional in Sumter County, I decided to pursue my Teacher's certification in the State of Florida. I earned my Teacher's Certification on June 2013. My certification is in Elementary Education (K-6), Spanish (K-12) and I am ESOL Endorsed, meaning I can teach students whose primary language is other than English.

Mrs. Rosa

Greetings everyone!  Welcome to my web page.  I am very excited to be able to teach and online class this year.  I know technology is becoming more and more necessary in our everyday lives.

So, let me tell you a little bit about me.  I am from Puerto Rico, my hometown's name is Santurce.  It is near the beach, so I love the ocean.  My husband and I moved from Puerto Rico to Florida back in 1994, to work in the hospitality industry as managers of a small resort in Saint Cloud. In 1995 we had the blessing of having our son, Isaac.

We purchased a farm and moved to Sumter County on October 2000.  In our farm we breed and raised Paso Fino Horses,  a horse breed popular in Puerto Rico and other Hispanic countries, along with dairy and meat goats, layer chickens and Dorper Sheeps.  I started my career in the education field back in 2005, when I accepted a position as an ESOL Paraprofessional in Sumter County Schools.  I felt in love with that job.  It was very rewarding to work with our Hispanic population and English speaking student and parents population.

That was a turning point in my professional life to the point that I decided to become a Certified Teacher. I became an Elementary Education Certified Teacher in June 2013. In 2015,  I had my first assignment as a 4th grade ELA Teacher at Lake County Schools.  Then, my teaching journey brought me here to Marion County. Currently, I am serving as a 4th Grade Online Teacher and I am loving my new career with Marion County Schools.
