We will be using (or learning how to use) Microsoft Teams.
Teams Quickstart Guide
A. Attendance - Be on time to online class (Teams)
- Attendance is taken 1st; don't get marked tardy;
- If neccesary, and possible, log on before class starts and wait
B. Bell work - Completed within the first minutes of class
C. Communicating
1) Participate in discussions. Give other students the opportunity
to join in the discussion.
2) Do not use offensive language. Present ideas appropriately.
3) Be cautious in using Internet language. For example, do not capitalize
all letters since these suggest shouting.
4) You may convey your tone through emojis or other icons appropriate for the classroom (they can express sadness, joy, frustration, confusion, and more).
5) Avoid using vernacular and/or slang language. This could possibly lead to
misinterpretation.
6) Be respectful of others and their ideas or comments.
7) Think and edit before you push the “Send” button. Do not hesitate to ask
for feedback.
8) Communicate personal needs - Personal, academic, etc... Use chat feature
- Use whatever venues (Remind/email/phone) available.
9) If you are feeling overwhelmed, depressed or upset - Chat "911"
to the teacher.
10) Answer when called upon. Remain in the class meeting for the
entire period of class.
- Students will be clothed, visible, well-lit and
have no inapprpriate backgrounds
