Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. Matt Franklin
Belleview Panther Families,
Wanted to take this time to give you a little big of info about me and my background.
I'll be entering my second year here at BMS, I started at BMS in February replacing Coach Falcone as he entered retirement. I enjoyed my short time here before the world turned insane and we had to take on the distance learning model.
Prior to joining the BMS Faculty I had the privilage to work for six years at West Port High School teaching weightlifting while also serving as the Head Football Coach and Head Weightlifting Coach for the Wolf Pack. That came after working for two years at Eustis High School teaching HOPE while serving as the Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for the Panther Football program, and a year at Mount Dora High School teaching English 3 and Intensive Reading for the Hurricanes.
I got my professional career started by coaching football at the college level, serving two years for my Alma Mater, West Virginia University working with the Defensive Line as an intern, and Western Illinois University as the Defensive Line coach for the Leathernecks.
I currently live in Ocala, I'm the proud father of 2 daughters who attend school here in Marion county, and I'm currently serving as the Defensive Coordinator for Forest High School as well as Director of Strength and Conditioning for Forest Basketball.
Look forward to continuing here at BMS, working with the kids here to help teach them about all aspects of Physical Education, with a specialization in strength and fitness.
