• Welcome online learners.  Just because you are home, doesn't mean you don't get your specials!!!

    We are going to use this page to communicate until the Microsoft Teams page is fixed.  You will have a weekly "meeting" with me, followed by 4 other activities/assignments.  These should take 30 minutes.  If you get the activity done before 30 minutes, you need to find a just dance video or a go noodle on YouTube and keep your heart pumping.

    Day 1, Week 1

    Please look at the Welcome Back video first.  After you have finished that, please watch the week one playlist on safe social distancing and how to wash your hand correctly using two catchy little ditties.  That will complete Day 1, Week 1 assignment for PE.  

    Day 2, Week 1-See where you start.  You need to get a timer, piece of paper and something to write with.  First you are going to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeNwE4VXqgs&t=3s.  This video will help get you stretched and ready to go.  Set your timer for 1 minute.  You will be doing jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups and leg lifts.  Start your timer and do as many jumping jacks as you can in one minute.  When the time is up, record your number.  Take a 2 minute break.  Restart your timer and do as many push ups as you can.  It is ok if you need to take a few second break, but try to a full minute.  When the time is up, record your total and take another two minute break.  Repeat this for the sit ups and leg lifts.  That's it!  Day 2 finished!  Keep this record in a folder at your work station.  We will be revisiting it in the future to see your gains.

    Day 3, Week 1-Find a deck of cards.  If you dont have one at your house, there are apps for tablets and websites online that have digital decks.  You are going to draw a card.  The number on the card represents the number of reps(times) you are going to preform one of the following exercises.  If you draw a face card, you will do 20 reps.  If you draw an ace, you get to take a one minute break.  Here is the list of exercises you will be doing.  Repeat the exercises 3 times.  

    Jumping jacks, Push ups, sit ups, leg raises, air squats, toe touches.

    Day 4, Week 1- YouTube activity: go to YouTube and search Just Dance Kids.  You need to pick 5 music videos to dance along with.  Take a 1-2 minute break between songs and remember to stay hydrated. 

    Day 5, Week 1- Go outside and run(make sure a parent is with you).  Do a 5 minute stretch making sure you are limber and ready to go.  If you can go on a long run or walk, give me a good 20 minutes.  If you don't have the access to run distance, I would like you to run sprints.  Run from one end of your yard to the other, as fast as you can.  Take a break and do it again.  Repeat this exercise for 15 minutes.  Be sure to stay hydrated.
