• On-line Info and instructions for 6th grade Advanced Math

    • You will be using Microsoft Teams and your on-line textbook. Both are accessed by going to your student portal.
    • You will need a notebook (a spiral one is fine) and graph paper. Most notes can be printed out if needed.
    • You will go to teams at the assigned time and I will have an Entry Task (bell ringer) for you (it usually reviews what we have covered). While doing this I will check attendance.
    • I will present a lesson, cover material, explain example problems.
    • You will get practice work that I create or go to your on-line textbook for example assignments and practice lessons.
    • I have the entire 9 weeks planned out (look at the Course Outline under 'files' in Teams or here on my webpage).
    • Many of the 'example assignments' are just to help you understand material and are NOT for a grade (you can't type in them). The graded assignments are the 'Practice and Problem Solving' ones.
    • There will be several quizzes, some from on-line textbook but most are ones I create (usually only 5 questions). You may use all notes you have taken on quizzes.
    • When we finish our Topic (Unit/Chapter) there will be a test. You may access the 'practice test' and use it as a study guide, the real test will be same type of problems but with different numbers.
    • I will do my best to keep my procedures simple and not overwelming.
    • If you are absent when material is being covered, look at my course outline to see what you have missed and go through example assignments, notes I created, and make sure you try Entry Task as it reviews what we have done.
