    I am so proud of our students’ accomplishments at Osceola Middle School! With your hard work this year, OMS will continue to be the BEST middle school in Marion County. I look forward to working with each of you as we explore the world of mathematics.

     * Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no communal classroom supplies. Please check with your student frequently, as        many items will need to be replenished throughout the school year.

    Assignment Expectations: 

    You will be expected to write assignments in your planner upon entering the room each class day. Homework is due the next day unless otherwise specified. 

     

    If you are absent, you can access Microsoft Teams to check what assignments you've missed or check the absent bin.  I will do my best to post daily assignments on your Teams class.   You are still responsible for the work your missed. 

     

    Make-up work will be accepted one week (five school days) from the due date. Late work is only excused if you were absent the day the work was assigned and/or collected. Unexcused late work will receive a five-point deduction per day. Put your name on your work. No-name work will receive a five-point deduction. 

     

    Mistakes are a part of math work. Because of this, I will only accept work done in pencil unless otherwise specified on the assignment.

    Class Rules: 

    1. Follow directions the first time.
    2. Mask must be worn at all times. 
    3. Maintain social distancing at all times.
    4. Use appropriate language and volume.
    5. Raise your hand to speak.
    6.  Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
    7.  Be respectful
    8.  Listen, pay attention, and be prepared to learn every day.
    9.  Clean your space before dismissal.

     

    Discipline Policy: 

    My classroom expectations are the same as those for the school. Please observe the rules in your student handbook. We AIM for success in this classroom! I expect you to live up to the excellent reputation for which Osceola students are known. Disciplinary consequences depend on the severity the action but generally follow the following order: 

     

    1. Verbal warning
    2. Time Out
    3. Parent/guardian contact
    4. Administrative referral

     

    *Any violent or disrespectful behavior will lead to an automatic referral.
