• There are several tests that students take while in high school that help get them ready for graduation, as well as what comes next.

Algebra I EOC - required for HS graduation

FSA Reading and Writing - required for HS graduation

PERT - can be used for entrance into local state schools like the College of Central Florida or Santa Fe. This test is offered at those post-secondary campuses as well as occasionally at BHS.

PSAT - this is a test taken DURING the school day at BHS that allows students to try to earn a concordant score for their FSA Algebra graduation requirement. Every student takes it in 10th grade, as well as possible retakes in subsequent years.  It also allows students in 11th grade to try to earn a very high score that would allow qualification for the National Merit Scholars program.

SAT - www.collegeboard.org - students can take this for university admission as well as using it to try to earn a concordant score for both the FSA Reading/Writing as well as Algebra I EOC.  This is a national exam given on Saturdays and students must sign up for this test at the website. If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, you can request a fee waiver.

ACT - www.actstudent.org - students can take this for university admission as well as using it to try to earn a concordant score for both the FSA Reading/Writing as well as Algebra I EOC.  The main difference between the ACT and SAT is that the ACT includes a science section.  The ACT is also hosted here at BHS on national test dates.  This is a national exam given on Saturdays and students must sign up for this test at the website. If you qualify for free/reduced lunch, you can request a fee waiver.

Free test prep is also available on both of those websites for their tests.
