I grew up in a beach town in Long Island, NY and the ocean always be a part of me.  I attended Long Island University/Southampton College where I received my degree in elementary education with a minor in psychology. I moved to Florida shortly after graduating and have been teaching ever since. This will be my 16^th year as an educator!

I live here in Ocala with my husband Kevin and our two daughters, Juliet (6^th grade) and Alyssa (3^rd grade). We also have a sweet pug named Lamby who enjoys sleeping and invading personal space.

I am a lover of nature and can usually be found hiking, kayaking, bike riding, boating, or just exploring Earth’s beauty. I also have an obsession of all things primate, especially chimpanzees and orangutans.
