Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Eleanor Gilliam
Hello Hello! I'm Mrs. Gilliam but some of my students like to call me Mrs. G. I’m so excited to join the West Port family this year as the Anatomy and Physiology Honors teacher. I’m passionate about teaching and mentoring my students to help them become confident, educated individuals. I look forward to communicating and working with you to ensure that you have the tools and support you need to learn Anatomy and Physiology and have a successful year.
I studied at the College of Central Florida where I obtained my BAS in Healthcare Management. I graduated from the License Practical Nursing Program at Blandford School of Nursing in Petersburg VA. I’ve been employed with MCPS since 2009.
When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my husband and three daughters. I’m originally from Virginia but I have lived her in Florida for over 17 years now. I love the beach, a good movie, and food. I believe it’s never too late to create and live the life you want to have for yourself.
WHY I CHOSE TEACHING
Teaching Anatomy and Physiology allows me to combine my knowledge and experience from working in the healthcare industry for over twenty years with my love for teaching and educating students. One of my favorite subjects in nursing school and during my college years was Anatomy and Physiology. I'm intrigued by the human body and the way it functions. There are so many career opportunities in the healthcare industry and I'm excited to be a part of educating my students that have chosen that career path or just want to learn about human anatomy.
