    If your child wants to participate in safety patrol next year, they need to send a letter to me (attached) so I can submit it to the Safety Patrol Committee.

    These are NOT mandatory, only if you need help with any of the lessons that were posted or with an assignment.

    May 25- Memorial Day- No Zoom Meetings (The material will be posted in case anyone would like to complete any school assignments.
    May 26-28: Zoom at 10:00 and 1:00
    May 29- NO ZOOM MEETINGS (I will be at the school for meetings with Admin)

    We will be going over information about Substance Abuse and Human Trafficking.
    Child Trafficking Prevention Education Lessons on these topics are required by Florida State Rule 6A-1.-94123. Lessons on Substance Abuse are required by Florida State Rule 6A-1.094122, F.A.C.

    In the Substance Abuse lesson, we will be addressing drug prevention. In human trafficking, lessons come in 6 parts and will take us the bulk of the time.
    Part 1: Safety Network

    Part 3: Peer Pressure
    Part 4: Grooming (the act/process of an adult giving special treatment to a child to gain trust)
    Part 5: Cyber Safety
    Part 6: Conclusion

    If your child wishes to be on SAFETY PATROL next year, I will need a letter emailed to me at 
    andrea.lockley@marion.k12.fl.us by MAY 28!! The 29th we, the 4th grade teachers, will be meeting with admin to place students for next year and go over safety patrol applications.

    June 1st is the final day of school. If you have completed your classwork, then you can write a FAVORITE MEMORIES OF 4th GRADE. You may also write a letter to your potential 5th grade teacher. These are OPTIONAL assignments and will not count for a grade.

    If you are behind in classwork, you will have until 11:00 PM to complete what you can. I will be finalizing the grade book June 2nd in the morning.
