    Activity: In your academic notebook, draw and write about going to a store and buying whatever you want. You had to do chores and you have been saving your money for this purchase.  Let's say that we all have $50.00 to spend!  Remember you had to earn this money and now you are buying something that you really want... for you!  I can't wait to hear about where you went and what you purchased with the money you earned and saved.

    Activity: What was your favortie job at school?  In your academic notebook, draw a picture of yourself doing that job.  Write to explain the job, the responsibilities that you had and why you liked doing that job for the week.

    Activity: What job do you want to do when you grow up?  In your academic notebook, draw a picture of yourself doing that job and the tools you will use.  Write to explain the job and the tools you will use doing that job. Please remember to label your illustration.

    Activity: Listen and read along to learn about consumers and producers.  Answer the questions to earn coins as you navigate through the digital article. Answer the questions on the last page, send a picture of the completed work (pg.4) to my email.

    Week 2 - 4/6 - 4/10

    Task: Access Studies Weekly via your student portal.  Click on Social Studies Week 12 Needs and Wants

    Activity: Listen and read along to learn about needs and wants.  Answer the questions to earn coins as you navigate through the digital article. Answer the questions on the last page, send a picture of the completed work to my email.  **While in the digital article take the test.

    Activity: In your academic notebook on the next 2 pages that are together, at the top label the left side needs and label the right side wants.  Draw or cut out pictures from magazines of things that are needs and wants.  Please have 5 on each side, label all of the pictures drawn or cut out.  *If you cut pictures out, glue them in your notebook with your glue stick.  Be sure to be neat as you are in the classroom so you don't glue your pages together. :)


    Week 1 - 4/1 - 4/3

    Please have your child log into their portal and at the bottom of the screen you have options to select which screen to view, please click on "eTextbooks" and then select Studies Weekly. When the application opens please select Florida Studies Weekly - Kindergarten. At this point you should see each week, please select week 9 "Where Do You Live?" Read through the digital article (it will read it to them).

    Activity: Teach your child their phone number and address.  Make sure they know what city, state and country they live in. We did this article and talked about this in class, the focus for the activity is for your child to learn their address and phone number.  Review the city, state, and country with them.
