State of Florida Art Standards for 5th Grade

  • The Florida State Standards of the 4th Quarter of school are to include:

     

    V.A.5.S.3.2: Use craftsmanship and technical ability in personal works to show refinement of skills over time.

    Learning Goal: I can use craftsmanshiip and technical aility in personal works to show refinement of skills over time.  

    Ask your student: What qualities determine a successful finished product in art?  How do you know when a work of art is finished?  Why is it important to consider constructive criticism of your work in art? 

     

    V.A.5.C.2.3: Apply established criteria to the art-making process to measure artistic growth. 

    Learning Goal: I can apply established criteria to the art-making process to measure artistic growth.

    Ask your student: How has your art changed over time?  What choices do artists make while creating a work of art?  

     

    V.A.5.F.1.1: Examine and experiment with traditional or non-traditional uses of media to apply imaginative uses of media to apply imaginative techniques in two and/or three dimensinal artworks.
