State of Florida Art Standards for 4th Grade

  • The Florida State Standards of the 4th Quarter of school are to include:

     

    V.A.4.S.3.2: Plan and produce art through ongoing practice of skills and techniques. 

    Learning Goal: I can plan and produce art through ongoing practice of skills and techiques.

    Ask your student: How does planning an artwork affect the outcome of your work?

     

    V.A.4.C.2.3: Develop and support ideas from various reources to create unique artworks.  

    Learning Goal: I can develop and support ideas from various resources to create unique artworks. 

    Ask your student: Why do artists sometimes change their plan while working on a piece? How do artists generate ideas without copying others?

     

    V.A.4.F.1.1: Combine art media with innovative ideas and techniques to create two and/or three dimensional works of art.

    Learning Goal: I can combine art media with innovative ideas and techniques to create two and /or three dimensional works of art. 

    Ask your student: How do artist get ideas for their art?  How do artists generate ideas without copying others?  Why do artists research?
