Exceptional Student Education Services
The Exceptional Student Education program was designed to service students with special learning needs. Their goal is to provide every exceptional student with a free appropriate public education (FAPE), help them progress in school, access general curriculum, and prepare for life after school. The Marion County Public School System offers a continuum of services and programs to meet the individual needs of students requiring special education, ages 3 through 21. The degree to which services are provided is based individually on each child's Individual Educational Plan as set forth by a staffing committee. The continuum of services may be provided in a variety of settings, which include regular classrooms, resource rooms, hospital/homebound, separate day school, special class and non-public school (contractual). For more information on ESE services please visit the departmental website.

Academic Resources
The academic resource tab is a listing of website links identified by the district as possible academic resources students can utilize throughout the mandated distance learning platform. Due to the rapidly changing nature of web sites, and the multitude of links, there is always the possibility that students may encounter inappropriate material. We ask parents to monitor their child's navigation of the Internet.
