Since 2011, Oakcrest Elementary School of International Studies proudly promotes international mindedness with over 1,500 elementary schools around the globe as an International Baccalaureate World School (I.B.).
The I.B. Primary Years Programme (PYP) prepares students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who demonstrate respect for themselves and others, and have the capacity to participate in the world around them. Oakcrest focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both within and beyond the classroom.
The International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP) aims to help students develop the skills, knowledge and attitudes they need to excel, not only in their studies, but also in their personal growth to become active, global citizens.
ALL students enrolled at Oakcrest Elementary School of International Studies are I.B. students of the Primary Years Programme. Our I.B. students participate daily through hands on investigation, cooperative learning, research and technology, and student driven inquiry. In addition, every child receives ongoing instruction in Spanish, our second language taught on our campus, where the learning opportunities explore into geography, history, cultures and traditions of various Spanish speaking countries.
Join us and allow our next generation to discover, “What change in the world can I.B.?”

"The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help create a better and more peaceful world." (IB learner profile booklet, 2006: 5)
Safety of our students is always our #1 priority; therefore we want to remind parents of several rules that enable us to stay committed to a safe school.
