    Distance Learning

    Hi Class!

    Starting April 1st, we will be using Class Dojo, Google Classroom, and Zoom to complete our online learning. Please access your MCPS Student Desktop to login to our Google Classroom, as well as many other resources that we will be using. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.     Virtual Teaching Hours

    Monday: 11:00 am

    *FLAME meetings are on Mondays at 10:00am - see Mrs. Villella's Google Classroom

    Wednesday, and Friday:  10:00 - 11:00 am 

    • ZOOM Meetings will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday. During these sessions we will take a look at the week's assignments, clarify and reteach as needed. Please be prepared with paper/pencil.
    • Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 3:00 I will also be available for individual ZOOM meetings, parent conferences and parent contact through ClassDOJO. Please message me on DOJO or send me an email in advance to request a ZOOM meeting. 

     

    Assignments

    All assignments for the week will be posted on Google Classroom by Monday morning each week. All weekly assignments are due by 2:35pm each Friday. Each week, students will need to complete:

    • 45 minutes of iReady Math and Reading instruction
    • 20 minutes of daily reading
    • 3 ELA/Writing tasks
    • 3 Math tasks
    • 1 science task
    • 1 social studies task

     

    Attendance

    Students will need to answer the ATTENDANCE Question on their homeroom Google Classroom page on the days that they are working on their assignments. If a student shows that they are not engaged in their distance learning more than 3 days in a row, parent contact will be made to by the school administrator. 

     

    Distance learning without technology

    Students who do not have a way to access their assignments on google classroom will be provided home learning packets to complete. I will contact those students individually to check in with them and provide support.

     

     

     

    Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device
