    Students access the MCPS Student Desktop via the marionschools.net website. Students sign-in using their MCPS username and password. Assistance is available via your student’s school. 

    Community Reads Grades: K-5  Parents/Families Access: www.marionschools.net/communityreads - Free  
    Description: Family and community engagement website connecting literacy lessons in the elementary classroom with activities and conversations beyond the school day. By continuing literacy-based activities and conversations at home, families help reinforce and practice concepts learned in class. Go to the bottom of the page for grade-level specific activities. 

    GoNoodle.com Grades: K-5 Primary Focus: Physical Education Audience: Students Access: www.gonoodle.com - Click on the “Get Started Now” button and select “Families: Play Now” to open the library of videos and activities.  
    Description: Videos and games to keep students active at home. Each dance party, yoga session, mindfulness activity, and game session is an opportunity for kids to wake up their bodies, engage their minds, and be their best 

     
    iReady Grades: K-5 Primary Focus: Reading and Math Audience: Students Access:  Students should log-in through their Marion County student desktop. (Found on the home tab.) Description: iReady provides personalized instruction in both reading and math. Students in grades K-5 are expected to complete 45 minutes of both reading instruction and math instruction during the week. It is recommended that parents have students log on for 15 minutes a day for at least three days a week in each subject.  

    Khan Academy Grades: 6-12 Primary Focus: Most subjects Audience: Students/Teachers/Parents/Families Access: www.khanacademy.org - Free – sign up required. Description: Non-profit educational organization that provides free video tutorials and interactive exercises for a wide variety of subjects, courses, and topics. 

    myON Grades: K-5 Primary Focus: Reading Audience: Students Access:Students should log-in through their Marion County student desktop. (Found on the home tab.) Description: myON is an online library full of books on many different topics. Both fiction and non-fiction titles are available. This is a great resource for finding books on science and social studies topics. Questions and projects are also a part of this highly engaging program for students. It is recommended that parents have their child pick out one science or social studies book to read and enjoy each week. After reading the book, parents are encouraged to ask their child to tell what he/she learned while reading 

    Reading Plus Grades: 3-5    Some students may log-in through their Marion County student desktop. If your student cannot access this program via this method, please contact your school’s administrator for the direct link and site code.  
    Description: Reading Plus is an adaptive literacy intervention that develops the fluency, comprehension, and motivation in reading. 

    STEMscopes Grades: K-5 Primary Focus: Science Audience:  Students should log-in through their Marion County student desktop. (Found on the Programs tab if not on recent landing page.) Description: Comprehensive digital resources, supplemental print materials, and hands-on exploration opportunities that drive engagement and academic growth. 

    Studies Weekly Grades: K-5 Primary Focus: Social Studies: Students should log-in through their Marion County student desktop. (Found on the eTextbooks tab if not on recent landing page.) Description: Social Studies Weekly is the online version of a student newspapers for Social Studies. Students can log in, read the article (or have it read to them), play a few games, and take a quiz.  
     

    Think Central Grades: K-5 Primary Focus: Math Audience: Students Access: Students should log-in through their Marion County student desktop. (Found on the eTextbooks tab if not on recent landing page.)
