• DISTANCE LEARNING HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH THE END OF THIS SCHOOL YEAR!

    While I am disappointed that we won't see each other in person again this year, we will continue to meet in weekly ZOOM meetings.   

    These meetings are scheduled for Fridays from 12:30 to 1:00 (Townsend homeroom) and 1:00 to 1:30 (Carter).

    You will need to log into Google Classroom through your student portal for the invitation. 

     Please visit Google Classroom for your Zoom Mystery Passcode to get in!

    Tasks are posted on Mondays, due the following Monday at 8:00 a.m.  Students will first log into their MCPS portal, then into their Google account.  

    Your daily or weekly expectations are:

    45 minutes of iReady reading WEEKLY

    45 minutes of iReady math WEEKLY

    20 minutes of reading independently or with family DAILY

    3 tasks in ELA/Writing WEEKLY

    3 tasks in Math WEEKLY

    1 task in SCIENCE WEEKLY

    1 task in SOCIAL STUDIES WEEKLY

    2 special area classes WEEKLY (see schedule below)

    Week of May 4:  science lab and Makerspace

    After this, the cycle will continue in the same order.

     Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.).  These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms.  If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
