• As American as Apple Pie – Third and Fourth Grade Show

    Fort McCoy Parents and Families,

Your students have been preparing for their end-of-year show! The art and music departments have collaborated to produce “As American as Apple Pie.” Your third and fourth graders have been learning to sing and play folk songs from around the United States. Your students have been doing an amazing job, and we are so excited to showcase their work for you!

“As American as Apple Pie” will be performed twice. The first performance will be during the school day for the student body. The students will also be giving an evening performance on Thursday, April 18 at 6pm in the Fort McCoy cafeteria.

All third and fourth grade students will be singing and playing! Each class has prepared a song that includes many parts, and we need all students to attend so that the song is performed just as well as they have practiced! Every student has an important role, and the performance will not be the same without them. Some students have been assigned specific instrument parts that they have been working on. Each instrumental part was carefully chosen for these students, and they will be greatly missed if they are not there!

All performers need to arrive back at school by 5:30pm to get in their places for the concert. We will meet in the elementary music room. Performing students should wear a red, white, or blue shirt or dress with nice pants or skirt and shoes. Please note: there will be no supervision for students between school and 5:30pm. Students must go home or be picked up and then brought back to school by 5:30pm.

If you have a third or fourth grade student, please fill out the attached slip at the bottom as soon as possible so that we have an accurate list of students performing at the evening event. We need every student to attend, so please reach out to me if your student cannot attend and see if we can work out a solution.

Please contact Mrs. Edwards by email if you have any questions about the performance. This page is also posted on Mrs. Edwards’ teacher page at http://www.marionschools.net/Domain/13826.

Thank you for your support and dedication to our creative students!

    Creatively yours,
