STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) is about collaboration, communication, critical thinking, and creativity. We hope to instill this in all our students and see their experiences grow across all subject areas. Ultimately, STEAM focused teaching and learning skills will help deepen understanding of STEAM content applied in a real-world context. We are fortunate to have Discovery Education as a partner and STEAM lead teachers to help us move full STEAM ahead.
STEAMSpiration 2019: Not only did we have guest speakers, but students were given cardboard, tape, and scissors and challenged to create an arcade game. We all got to see the 4Cs in action: Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Collaboration. We had some great ideas and fun games!
