I am originally from the island of Jamaica but moved to New York City. While living there, I pursued a Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism with a French minor/Language Proficiency Citation in Spanish. Subsequently, I obtained a Master's degree in International Relations. After graduating from the City University of New York, I worked in New York as an educator, journalist, media relations professional, and editor. Reflecting on my career I realize I have always been teaching and writing in one capacity or another.
I moved to Ocala, FL in 2015, and have since worked as a middle school teacher. As a published poet and author, I enjoy imparting my love of language and reading to my students.
Feel free to reach me via email or by telephone between 2 and 3 pm Monday through Friday.
I am looking forward to a productive year with all my students.
