    • Complete essays from the informative writing workshop.

    • Review for QSMA testing.

    Wednesday/Thursday: QSMA (Quarterly Assessment).  This is a paper-based test.

    • 1. Finish Formative Informational Writing  from last week as needed. 

    • 2. Review close read of from "Titanic", "Titanic at 100" (documentary video) ,  and "Why and How Titanic Sank" (Infografic).

    • 3. Informative Writing Assessment:  We have read and watched three sources regarding the sinking of the Titanic.  Now, write and explain why Titanic hit an iceberg, and why this supposedly "unsinkable" ship did sink.  Be sure to use information from all three sources and cite your sources.  Avoid relying too much on any one source.  Your response should include a clear main (or central)  idea, an opening, support for your main idea, and a closing. 

    • 4. Students will use notes taken from all three sources.
