• Charlie Dixon

This year the Charlie Dixon Elementary Music Festival will be held on Thursday evening, March 14th at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Ocala, 2801 SE Maricamp Rd. Doors will open at 5:45 PM. Parents, friends and family are invited to come participate in this delightful concert. It is truly an opportunity your child will not forget. Singing with approximately 700 students from around the county is quite an exhilarating and challenging experience.

Each school has TWO tickets reserved for EACH student to purchase prior to the event. This is to guarantee all students participating will have someone in attendance to watch them. The tickets will be $5.00 each. We can accept cash or checks made payable to MCMA. Any unsold tickets will be available for purchase at the door the night of the concert. As seating is limited in the hall, there is a good chance this event will sell out! Please get your tickets early.

Performance attire: All black bottoms: long black pants, black belt, black socks, black shoes.

    Group 1: Green Polo

    Group 2: Yellow Polo

    Group 3: Red Polo

Chorus will meet every Tuesday after school until 3pm.  It is very important that students are at each rehearsal so they do not get behind.  Everyone is an essential part of the team.  We will be rehearsing for our holiday musical which will be held on Thursday, December 13 at 5:30pm in our school cafeteria.  There will NOT be rehearsal on December 18th.

Chorus rehearsals will resume January 29th to prepare for the Charlie Dixon Festival.

  • Chorus Field Trip

The Chorus will be performing at Marion Woods Retirement Home on Tuesday, December 18th during the school day.

  • Honor Choir Students Only

Keep practicing your parts with the CDs over the break.  We will meet in the music room after school on Tuesday, January 8th.

Remember, the next and final full group rehearsal is at the Reilly Arts Center on January 23 at 1:15.  Bring your concert attire to change into after dinner.  The performance starts at 6:30 that evening.
