• If a student has missed completing a classwork assignment, a test, quiz, or homework, during an unexcused absence, it is the student's responsibility to follow up with me to make up the assignment. If the student does not come to me to make up the assignment, then they will be given a zero.

If the student has an EXCUSED absence then the missing assignment will not be counted against them but the student should  talk to me about how to make up the assignment so that they do not fall behind on what we are studying.

If a student receives a failing grade on any assignment, I offer extra credit assignments that they can do to raise their grade. The extra credit assignments are an excellent opportunity to boost a failing grade. Once again, it is up to the student to follow through on any extra credit opportunities offered. Due dates, rubrics, and instruction are posted for the class on the white board in the classroom for a week at a time. Failure to complete the extra credit assignment by the due date means they have missed the opportunity for that assignment. My policy is to allow TWO weeks for completion of extra credit assignments.
