Oakcrest Elementary School is proud to be in our first year as a Leader in Me School. Leader in Me is a whole-school improvement process based on the idea that everyone can be a leader. This evidence-based approach empowers students with the leadership and life-skills they need to thrive in the 21st century.

Our Mission Statement
At Oakcrest Elementary School, our mission is to inspire and engage life-long learners by utilizing 21st century classroom strategies and inquiry-based, hands-on learning activities. We are committed to fostering positive, inclusive, school-wide and community relationships and will develop reflective citizens who make positive contributions to a global society.
We at Oakcrest Elementary truly believe in our mission statement and strive to help our students achieve their potential. Through our Leader in Me implementation we have better defined our school’s mission and live it more fully. By creating a focus on Leadership, our school culture has improved and our students are not only learning the academic lessons they need but also acquiring the social-emotional skills they need for their future.
