    What did we do today?

    1. 15 minute study session on Membean.
    2. Go back to your Stations Rotations assignment on Google Classroom. Choose one of the poems that you started last class to edit, revise, and finalize. Make it perfect. It should fit the requirements of that type of poem, make sense, and utilize poetic devices appropriately. It should sound good. You should be proud of it. Mark which one you want me to grade by writing GRADE ME in the box. Once you're done, be sure to click TURN IN.
      • If you were not here for the stations activity, look under the Poetry Stations topic and read the documents there. Choose one of the poetic forms to experiment with. Write that poem on the Stations Rotations assignment and turn it in.
    3. Open the Tupac vs. Thomas assignment on Google Classroom. Read over the two poems and answer the questions. Complete the assignment independently. Click TURN IN at the end of the period, whether you're finished or not.
    4. You will have your POETRY TEST next class. Begin studying your poetry terms. ALL of them will be on the test. Cut out the boxes on your Know the Lingo chart to create flashcards.

I was out with an unexpected sickness for part of the 10th and the whole day on the 11th, so each class is at a slightly different place. We'll all be back on the same page soon!.

A Day - you guys started the compare/contrast with a modern day song versus classical poem, but we'll make sure you have time to finish on Monday. Based on what was turned in on Google Classroom while the sub was there, not much got accomplished.

Period 2 - you guys finished the modern song versus classical poem work. You're ahead of the game!

Periods 4 & 6 - you guys worked on finishing the song analysis.
