• Rumble in the Jungle: A Musical Picture Show

    Fort McCoy Parents and Families,

Your students have been preparing for their end-of-year show! The art and music departments have collaborated to produce “Rumble in the Jungle: A Musical Picture Show.” In art class, first through fifth grade students have been drawing, painting, and making animations of jungle animals. In music class, third and fourth graders have been learning to sing and play songs about jungle animals. At the show, the audience will see pictures and animations projected while the students sing and play instruments. Your students have been doing an amazing job, and we are so excited to showcase their work for you!

“Rumble in the Jungle: A Musical Picture Show” will be performed twice. The first performance will be during the school day for the student body. The students will also be giving an evening performance on Thursday, May 17 at 6:30pm in the Fort McCoy cafeteria. First through fifth grade students are invited to attend and see their artwork at the event!

All third and fourth grade students will be singing and playing! All third and fourth grade students are highly encouraged to attend the evening performance. Every student has an important role, and the performance will not be the same without them! Third and fourth grade performers and fifth graders with speaking parts need to arrive back at school by 6:00pm to get in their places for the concert. We will meet in the elementary music room. Performing students should wear a green or brown shirt with nice pants and shoes. Please note: there will be no supervision for students between school and 6:00pm. Students must go home or be picked up and then brought back to school by 6:00pm.

If you have a third or fourth grade student, please fill out the attached slip at the bottom as soon as possible so that we have an accurate list of students performing at the evening event.

We have a limited number of speaking roles available on a first-come basis for fifth grade students. If your student is interested in a speaking role, they MUST return the slip indicating that they are attending the evening performance!

Please contact Mrs. Edwards by email if you have any questions about the performance.

Thank you for your support and dedication to our creative students!

    Creatively yours,

    Laura Edwards                                                                   Anthony Castronovo
